Responding to the power and beauty of the world around me has always been the essence of my artwork and the feeling I want to convey in my painting, whether the rugged Dorset coastline, colours of the changing seasons in the New Forest or the patchwork landscape of the countryside on my doorstep.

I’m Charles, an Artist based in Dorset on the South coast of U.K

I have always had Art & Painting at the core of my soul. Graduating from a Fine Art Degree at The Byam Shaw School of Art, Central St Martins in my early 20’s . I got caught in a career of managing an award winning seafood restaurant.

At the end of 2018 I had a review of what was important in my life and it was coming back to a career in art and painting so I made the leap of returning to a career as a full time artist.
